Did you know that exercise can greatly improve your POTS symptoms? With our expertise, we'll provide you a customized exercise program to improve blood flow, build stamina/strength, and regain control of your life.
We utilize The POTS Life program that was created by Dr. Kelsey Botti.
Physical therapy plays a crucial role in treating POTS by helping to build endurance, improve aerobic capacity, and strengthen the body—all at a pace that’s safe and sustainable. Traditional exercise routines can often feel overwhelming or even worsen symptoms for those with POTS, which is why working with us is so important!
Yes - we currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and UPMC insurance. If you do not have either insurance plans, we also provide a private pay option.
In Pennsylvania an individual can choose to go directly to a physical therapist for an evaluation/treatment for a period of 30 days. This is referred to as “direct access physical therapy.” You do not need a PT script for the first 30 days of treatment.
If you do have one --- GREAT! You can bring it with you or have your doctor fax the order directly to (412) 368-2459.
We will perform a detailed and thorough assessment. The findings will be discussed with you. Together, we will determine an individualized plan of care.
Appointments are about 60 minutes, but can be longer or shorter depending on your individual treatment. Your therapist will let you know how much time your appointments will require.
Typically, patients wear loose fitting clothing for both Pelvic Floor & POTS physical therapy appointments.
We combine aerobic & strengthening exercises to improve your well-being and overall quality of life. We offer 3 options (in person, virtual or a complete on your own program).
Kelsey determines a plan specific to you. You will be provided a personalized program which includes biking/rowing & stregnthening exercises.
